the customer required a vin mark located in the right front seat of a vehicle. the vin marking was a 17 digit alphanumeric text (5x17, ocra) the design of the chassis and the production line configuration cannot allow to install a opposite support necessary for the proper positioning of the marking system.

advantages/ summary

the solution provided by sic marking is a vin marking machine equipped with a scratch carbide stylus. marking depth is 0.3 mm. sic marking has developed a custom side clamping solution (because absence of opposite support) useful for the marking action.
